Museum Pedestal with Pneumatic Lid

A fully assembled, tempered glass pedestal display case with a 18" high X 20" wide showcase space. Designed with a frame-less, glass-to-glass construction and available in a selection wood finishes. Great for use in museums, galleries and areas that require showcasing valuable and delicate items in a in a secure environment. Shown above in cherry laminate with black hardware.

Our museum pedestals are extremely secure and fully airtight when locked. The locking mechanism is activated by a pneumatic system which is easy to operate, safe and reliable and does not require an electrical outlet to operate. The deck of the showcase is equipped with an easily removable fabric covered pad. Silica gel bags are stored in the accessible and lockable compartment. The case is constructed with a non-toxic silicone sealant between cabinetry and framing. Showcase comes equipped with a toe kick and levelers. Available in all standard finishes and custom finishes upon request. This glass pedestal display case is perfect for galleries and museums providing protective and dust free atmosphere.

The pneumatic locking system is controlled by spraying compressed air into the ports located in the locked portion of the base cabinet.

NOTE - The case is not recommended for retail use as the opening system requires the top to be removed. The display is recommended for items that need a permanent display or semi-permanent display which will not require opening on a regular basis.

Color options - Veneer vs laminate and what is the difference. Veneer is a thin layer of real hard wood. Laminate is a polymer material bonded to a composite surface and made to look like real wood. Note, our standard finishes are laminates.
