Nearly half of the United States has legalized marijuana in some form. Following the Nov. 8 elections, recreational marijuana use has been legalized in an additional four states, California, Nevada, Maine, and Massachusetts. That brings the total number of states in which recreational marijuana use is legal up to seven, a number that includes Washington, Oregon, and Colorado.
The market for marijuana in the United States is rapidly expanding, as a full 50 percent of U.S. adults now live in a state where recreational marijuana use is legal. However, it isn’t just the demand for pot that will grow in a legalized marketplace; the demand for paraphernalia, like bongs and pipes, is also expected to burgeon.
The California economy is the sixth largest in the entire world, so if dispensaries can capitalize on this increased demand for paraphernalia, the potential for profit is huge. One of the keys to making the most of this commercial opportunity is effectively displaying merchandise, which means investing in quality display cases in dispensaries. Let’s take a look at the benefits of display cases in dispensaries.
Enhance the value of the merchandise. Display cases can enhance the value of merchandise in dispensaries in a number of ways. First of all, display cases offer a high presentation value. They ensure that merchandise can be displayed in an organized and visually compelling manner, offering excellent internal illumination and maximizing its aesthetic appeal. This is especially ideal for artisan glasswork paraphernalia, which needs to be displayed in a way that draws attention to the craftsmanship.
Improve security. Secondly, display cases are an excellent way to secure paraphernalia, which makes it ideal for displaying higher-end, more expensive merchandise. Outfitting your dispensaries with display cases is an excellent way to boost your sales.
Ensure flexibility. Last but not least, display cases allow for flexibility in the display of merchandise. Many display cases have adjustable shelves, while different types of displays cases, from museum cases to perimeter shelving can be used together in different combinations to create the perfect arrangement for a store.
The bottom line is that display cases are an excellent addition to any dispensary, and they can help those in the marijuana industry capitalize on the growing demand for paraphernalia.

*Everything You Need to Know about California’s Legalization of Marijuana
California voters approved recreational marijuana use in elections on Nov. 8, opening up the largest commercial marijuana market in the United States. A full 50 percent of Americans now live in a state where recreational marijuana use is legal. A recent Gallup poll found that support for legalization of marijuana now hovers around 60 percent, the highest in the 47 years that the organization has monitored public support for the issue. In 1960, just 10 percent of adults in the state favored legalization.
California already has one of the oldest medical marijuana programs in the country, established in 1996. The new California measure, which passed with 56 percent approval, makes it legal for individuals over the age of 21 to possess a limited quantity of marijuana for personal use. Furthermore, the recently passed law allows individuals to cultivate up to six marijuana plants in private residences, although any such plants must be kept from public view.
The official sale of legalized recreational marijuana won’t yet begin for another two years, as licenses must first be issued. Once sales start, California officials estimate that marijuana sales will generate an additional $1 billion in revenue. This revenue has been earmarked for the study of medical marijuana so that its effects and benefits can be better understood. The California Highway Patrol will also receive a portion of this revenue in order to develop better procedures to ascertain driver impairment as a result of the consumption of marijuana.
Marijuana dispensaries stand to benefit significantly from this legalization. In addition to a boost to marijuana sales, the move will also likely boost the sale of paraphernalia, such as pipes and bongs. Investors are already planning to boost spending in the sector, which means dispensaries could be poised for significant growth.
