Made to Order Display Cases
Made to Order Display Cases are pre-designed commercial showcases and retail display fixtures built after a customer places an order. This production method reduces warehouse storage needs and eliminates large amounts of back-stock inventory. As a result, manufacturers can focus on building each display case to specification while helping control unnecessary overhead costs.
Production usually begins within 2–3 business days after purchase. During this stage, builders select and prepare laminates, stains, glass panels, hardware, and structural materials for assembly. Skilled fabricators construct each display case individually rather than mass producing the units. Because of this detailed process, production typically requires 3–4 weeks depending on the design, materials, and finish selections.
After assembly, technicians inspect the display case to confirm that all finishes, glass panels, and structural components meet quality standards. The team then hand-builds a protective shipping crate around the completed unit to help prevent freight damage during transportation. Shipping and transit usually add an additional 5–7 business days to the overall timeline.
Custom Display Cases & Custom Retail Displays
Custom display cases and custom retail displays include modified dimensions, specialty materials, custom finishes, or completely original designs requested by the customer. Some buyers provide sketches, concepts, or architectural blueprints for fabrication. Others request modifications to existing showcase models.
Custom display cases require additional planning, engineering, and material sourcing before production begins. Designers and fabricators must review specifications, pricing, production drawings, and finish selections before approval. This process increases production time compared to standard made to order display cases. Most custom display projects require approximately 6–8 weeks for completion, although larger commercial installations may take longer.
Customers must approve all final project details before fabrication starts. Because these projects involve custom manufacturing, a non-refundable deposit is required at the beginning of production. After construction is complete, the manufacturer professionally crates the displays for freight shipment. Depending on the size, quantity, and destination, shipping preparation and transportation may require up to 10 additional business days.
