Whether you are in a shopping center or your business is a stand-alone shop, one thing is for certain. Your customers will keep walking right on by if your business seems cluttered. They don’t want to visit a location where they have to step over items. And, they want to work with a company that is organized and neat. No matter how much you have to sell, keep these things in mind.
1. Let your display cases been seen from the sidewalk without any clutter in front of them. This allows for your customers to see a clear view into your store and lures them in. What’s in those cases, they wonder.
2. Use the vertical height in any space to your advantage. The key here is to make your most important sellers the items right at eye height. However, you can and should use above this height for storage needs.
3.Keep smaller amounts up front with more items stored in back. If you have a stack of 50 t-shirts sitting, there they look like they are not selling. Instead, place just 5 or 8 pieces. This makes them look more desirable and a must have item.
When you take these steps, you can easily clear the way for your customers to find exactly what they want and create enough demand that they will buy from you right away.
