It is very common for retailers to face too much inventory especially during the holiday season. Material builds up and the sales floor becomes cluttered. While you want to provide your customers with a wide selection of items to choose from, too much on the sales floor in an unorganized fashion actually drives them away. As a result, you could be losing more money on sales. These tips can help you to minimize these risks.<\/p>\n

  1. Get more material off of floor itself<\/strong>. Use shelving units that provide ample space for storage of larger items. You don’t want product on the floor itself as this is one of the most common causes of a cluttered look.<\/li>\n
  2. Consider adding display cases rather than racks<\/strong>. To make an item appear to be more valuable, store it behind a display case. Keep items folded and organized in these display cases to minimize clutter.<\/li>\n
  3. Keep the countertops clear of items<\/strong>. While you can use a few racks to display items, be sure that the actual counter space is open and clear to minimize the cluttered feel of the entire location.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
